Sunday School - 9:45 am | Sundays

Sunday School consists of leaders teaching Biblical truths to kids that lead them to learn how to make wise choices, trust God no matter what, and treat others the way they want to be treated. Each class has three distinct roles for leadership: Lead teacher – teaches the Bible story and facilitates the classroom, Activity Leader – brings an activity to participate in each week, and Greeter – calls kids by name as they walk in, greets parents, and helps others in facilitating Bible Study and activities.

Children's Worship - 11:00 am | Sundays

Children’s Worship is designed with kids in mind. We know that kids do not worship the same way that adults do. There is a time of high energy worship led by kids, games to draw their focus, and a time in the Word. An aspirational dream for CW would be for actors to help illustrate the Bible story. Volunteers lead games, provide crowd control, and show kids that we like to worship in fun ways – just like they do! A technical staff runs the lighting, sound, and pre-planned ProPresenter slides.

Wednesday Nights - 6:00pm

Wednesdays provide a mid-week time for us to teach the kids the lesson we learned on Sunday with a more practical approach. We have large group worship, game, and Bible Story. Kids go to small groups and discuss questions that will help them implement the story into their lives. For the final time, we go to the gym and celebrate just being together with an organized game.

Parent's Night Out - 6:00-10:00pm Fridays - Once a Month

Without healthy parent relationships being imparted on our kids, we know that the family unit as a whole will not be strong. Once a month, we let parents go out for the night to do whatever they please. Even a simple shopping experience without kids can be a breath of fresh air for a single parent, taking time to sit and read a book is a blessing for a parent, or going on a date strengthens marriages. We provide a night based around kids… This is a FUN night! We play games, eat pizza, spend time in the gym, then cool down with a movie and popcorn. We call it parent’s night out, but we plan it for the kids!

Upward Basketball, Cheer, Concessions, and Referees - January through March

Registration for kids begins the last week of September and evaluations are in November, but the season is from January 7th-March 9th (9 weeks of practice, 8 games). We will also have a huge celebration on March 10th at Calvary for all who participate. We need coaches, people to work concessions, and referees in order to make everything happen. It is truly a blessing that 2/3 of the participants are not from Calvary and we get to share in the sport, while sharing Jesus with the next generation of our nation. It is an affirming venture and we would LOVE for you to be a part.

Fall Festival - October 28th

Some call it Trunk or Treat, but that is not all that is involved. We do have trunks that need to be decorated and available, we have inflatables that need to be manned, we have games that need prize givers, music to be played, balloons to be folded into shapes, food to be served, and the list goes on. This is a multi-generational event that the church hosts in order to give our people and our community a time to share together celebrating the beautiful Fall weather that God continually provides.

Check-in and Welcome - Sundays or Wednesdays

Do you have a smiling face and are willing to help those who need it? You’re PERFECT! We want to ensure the safety of our kids at all times. In order to do this, we need people to keep an eye on the halls, work check-in systems, and smile to greet families.

Summer Activities - VBS and Camp

Both of these are our summer large activities for our community and church. VBS is a 4 day long (M-Th) evangelical program where we explore the Bible, create activities and snacks, learn new songs, and learn about missions around the world. Camp is planned in order to create a fun, life-changing experience that they would not have at home for a week in the summer. More information to come soon.

If you have any questions, please e-mail and we would be happy to try and answer them.
