Calvary Tuscaloosa is more open than ever!
However, we are not a “social distancing” church. As we continue listening to leaders in health and government, we want to do what’s best for us, and for our cities. We love people more than we love our preferred way of doing things.
Calvary Tuscaloosa will be open for physical service when our gatherings can be safe, simple and clear.

More people than ever are a part of our Sunday online gatherings, people are discovering new friendships through online Small Groups, and you continue to make an impact in our cities through your online giving.
The church only shuts down if you shut down. Let’s focus more on capturing the moment, and less on the “when.”

Sunday Worship

Although we have cancelled all activities here on our church campus temporarily, you can still be part of worship right from your homes. Pastor Tim’s message will be live streamed on Sunday mornings at 10 AM. You can join us online HERE. Want to chat a bit with the rest of the Calvary family? Be sure to pop in at 9:30 to say “hello” in the group chat before the service starts! Please note that the message will be interpreted in American Sign Language for the Deaf Community.

Mid-Week Connections

Each week, Pastor Tim hosts weekly updates, or Mid-Week Connections, on Wednesdays at 10 AM. Join us online HERE as he leads us in a brief time of inspiration & information!

Mental Health Awareness

We know that some of you may be struggling with anxiety and other mental health issues right now. We want to encourage you to use all resources at hand to take care of your mental health. At this time, some health insurance providers are offering free counseling sessions. For more information, please contact your health care provider. Here are some counseling options to assist you!

There is also a free online course on relational wisdom that is available to everyone through the end of May. Help Our Little Friends
Although the exact date has not yet been determined, Calvary’s Little Friends School is in the process of preparing to reopen. During the shut-down, much work has been done to our facilities to continue to ensure they are as safe as possible to welcome back children from all over our community.
As part of the reopening, Little Friends School will need additional supplies in our classroom. Some of the supplies are not currently available from our usual suppliers. If you have any of these items that you would like to donate, please drop them on the cart at the 12th Avenue Entrance Monday-Thursday from 10 am-2 pm between now and May 14.
  • Masks
  • Clorox wipes
  • Hand sanitizer
  • Touchless thermometers

Serve Our Church Family

Reach out to those most at risk. Check in regularly and volunteer to be hands and feet for those who do not need to venture out. If you know of a need within our church family that you can’t handle, please contact the church office. Stay in contact via technology with those in your small groups. In a time when social distancing can bring loneliness and despair, technology can be an amazing tool to bridge the gap.

At this point we are working through which volunteer opportunities we will be tackling as a church family. If you are looking to volunteer for our church family and in the community, please email and let us know what your availability is and we will contact you as soon as opportunities that fit become available.

Thank you in advance for your on-going generosity. We are extremely excited during this chaotic time to be able to be the hands and feet of Jesus and continue to serve our community and our church family. If you are not already utilizing online giving, now is an ideal time to start. Visit for information on giving online or via text. You can also mail gifts to Calvary Tuscaloosa, 1121 Paul W. Bryant Drive, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401.
