GIVE

WHY WE GIVE

God is generous and so he calls us to be as well.  What we do with what God has given us shows the world where our hearts are at and helps proclaim the gospel. We want to glorify God with every area of our lives, and that includes what we do with our finances.

1. GIVE ONLINE

Calvary uses Realm, an online connection and giving tool that makes communicating and giving easier than ever. We think you will love Realm and how simple it makes giving and communicating.

Please click the link below and follow a few simple steps to make a one-time gift or set up a recurring gift.
Click here for downloadable online giving guide.
Attention: Realm will no longer support Internet Explorer after March 2018. Please download another internet browser, such as Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.

2. TEXT TO GIVE

Giving is now as easy as sending a text. Simply send a messsage to 73256 saying “calvarytuscaloosa (amount you want to give)” .

(Example: calvarytuscaloosa 10). If it’s your first time, you will receive a text with a link where you can safely connect your credit card to your smart phone. Since you only have to set up your card once, you will now be able to give from anywhere at anytime with a single text!

GIVING INFORMATION

The ministries of Calvary Tuscaloosa are made possible through the generous support of those who give. Each Sunday, we take up an offering in all three of our Sunday morning services. We also offer on-line and text-to-give options to those who feel led to contribute. Calvary strives to be a good steward of those resources entrusted into our care due to generous donations from the church family and others.  Rest assured that when you give financial contributions to Calvary, we are responsible for and accountable for the ways donations are used.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Calvary Ministries:
All Calvary ministries, including but not limited to age-group ministries, fall under the guidance and direction of our Finance and/or Personnel Committees as well as senior staff members. We also have a yearly audit of all financial aspects of Calvary performed by an outside company.  Ultimately, we are responsible to all members and advisers within each ministry area and our church body as a whole.

ACTS 1:8 Ministries:
These ministries are chosen yearly by our Missions Council after much consideration.  The Council chooses organizations which they feel align themselves with our vision of not only providing for physical but also spiritual needs within our community and beyond.

For more information on all of our ACTS 1:8 Ministries, click HERE.

FUNDS

In addition to our General Fund (where all regular tithes and non-designated funds are placed), we have several special funds to which additional gifts can be given. Below is an outline of our funds.

General Fund
Supports the mission and ministry of Calvary Tuscaloosa.

Acts 1:8 Fund
Supports the continued efforts of organizations the Missions Council feels align themselves with our vision of not only providing for physical but also spiritual needs within our community and beyond.

21st Century Fund
This fund has been established to collect gifts designated for future facility needs and building projects. In the future, we can turn to this fund instead of borrowing for future improvements.

THE CALVARY FUND

Throughout the years funds have been established through generous donors in a variety of amounts. You can continue to support the specific purposes these funds were designed to support by giving to the fund of your choice.

STEWARDSHIP ESTATE PLANNING

Estate planning may be the most important act of stewardship any of us will ever undertake. It is, at its core, the process of determining to whom we should transfer the stewardship of all that has been entrusted to us when we are called to step into eternity.
